Our Logo

As a whole, the Eastminster logo, which was unveiled in 2015 during the REVEAL campaign, conveys a sense of people being drawn by God: "Gathering Together...Reaching Out," to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in both word and deed.

The Cross:  The cross is central--the focus of our attention and gaze.  The cross remains open recalling how God reaches out to us and our call to reach out to other people.  The equal armed cross is similar to many Christian crosses in history and similar to the cross found in the Eastminster sanctuary on the lectern, communion table, and at the top of the sedilia, at the back of the chancel.

The Colors and Shapes:  The colors of light and dark blue and green remind us that God is the creator of the water, sky, and firmament.  The light blue represents baptism.  The green symbolizes growth.  Blue, green, and white are also the most common colors chosen by Eastminster members when they were asked what color reminds them of Eastminster.

The overall shape is circular, reminding us that God is sovereign over all of creation. The outer edges are rounded symbolizing God’s love and forgiveness.

The Quadrants:  The quadrants reflect the people, in all their variety, being drawn to the cross.  Each quadrant is an arrow that points to the cross where Christ died sacrificially, and from his death, he rose victoriously.  The quadrants also symbolize the wings of the dove--The Holy Spirit--who descends on the Church of Jesus Christ.
