High School Bahamas Mission Trip

Dear High School Youth Families,

It is our desire and intention to make mission and conference opportunities available to as many Eastminster youth as possible each Summer, sending them out to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world.

Once registration begins (February 11 7 pm), it will remain open for 48 hours for families to express their interest in participating in one or more of the Summer trips.  At the end of the 48-hour window, the Nurture, Education and Discipleship (NED) Staff will fill the available slots on each trip, on a first-come-first served basis, while attending to needs like: balancing the trip between boys and girls, accounting for available male and female chaperones, and certain allowances for siblings.  Those interested youth who receive a slot in a trip will then be sent a payment link next week and have a window of time to commit to the trip by making a deposit. 

In the event that interest is greater than capacity, the Committee will reach out to mission partners to determine if they are flexible in their accommodations.  Any youth who get closed out of a trip one Summer will be granted higher priority the following Summer. If the maximum number to registrants have been accepted please email rschoonover@eastminsterpres.org to be placed on the waiting list.

This procedure not only ensures a less stressful and fair registration process, but also will give the NED committee the discretion it needs to make our allocation of Youth ministry opportunities as fair and equitable as we possibly can.
