Dr. Bradley Smith

Senior Pastor

Dr. Bradley Smith joined our staff in 2009 as the Senior Pastor. Brad earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia and a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Brad and his wife, Nancy, have three children: Joshua, who is an ordained Presbyterian Minister, Rachel, who is an ordained Presbyterian Minister, and Grace, who is pursuing a master’s degree at Vanderbilt University. Brad enjoys outdoor walks, time with family, traveling, reading, and good meals.

Dr. Douglass Key

Senior Associate Pastor Adult, Discipleship, and Administration

Dr. Douglass Key joined our staff in 2019 as the Senior Associate Pastor for Adult Discipleship and Administration ministries. Douglass earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University, a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Kathy, have one son, Thomas. Douglass enjoys Clemson sports, reading history, and smoking meat on a grill.

Dr. Ben Sloan

Interim Associate Pastor Congregational Care & Concern

Dr. Ben Sloan joined our staff in 2022 as the Interim Associate Pastor for Congregational Care & Concern. Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clemson University, a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Kay, have three children: Sarah Batson, Rebekah Gilliam, and John Sloan. Ben enjoys playing guitar, watching football, fishing, and spending time with his five grandchildren.

Rev. Brian Marsh

Associate Pastor Membership & Outreach and Missions, Service & Benevolence

Rev. Brian Marsh joined our staff in 2016, and he is the Associate Pastor for Fellowship, Outreach, and Missions. Brian earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and a Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Brian and his wife, Marya, have two sons, Connor and Brenden. In his free time, Brian enjoys playing games with his family, working on his ’96 Toyota 4Runner, and undertaking any project that involves building something. He enjoys anything outside like mountain biking, hiking, and disc golf.

Rev. Nicholas Demuynck

Associate Pastor for High School Youth and Younger Adults

Rev. Nick Demuynck joined our staff in 2020 as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Younger Adults. Nick graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a focus in Nonprofit Studies from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Divinity from Austin Theological Seminary. Nick is married to his wife, Savannah, who is the Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. Nick is a huge sports guy and is an avid North Carolina State Wolfpack fan.

Rev. Croskeys Royall

Associate Pastor for Children and Their Families

Rev. Croskeys Royall joined our staff in 2005, and he is the Associate Pastor for Children and Their Families. Croskeys earned a degree in English from Clemson University and a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary. Croskeys and his wife, Carolyn, have two children, Audrey and Isabelle. Croskeys enjoys power walking, reading Ernest Hemingway, all things Apple, and a half-caf cup of coffee in the morning.

Dr. Carol Byrd

Parish Associate Congregational Care

The Rev. Dr. Carol Byrd is our returning Parish Associate for Congregational Care, who served Eastminster in 2019. Carol is a graduate of Berea College and earned a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Carol and her husband- CH (COL.) Joey Byrd, who is also a Presbyterian minister- have three children, Sarah, Katy, and Joseph, and three grandchildren, William, Holly, and Evelyn. Carol enjoys spending time with her grandchildren or heading to the beach.
