Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Summer Assistant Teacher to work with school-age children in a fun, engaging, and safe environment. This role involves leading daily activities, organizing games, and supervising field trips while fostering positive relationships and encouraging creativity, teamwork, and personal growth among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with school-age children
- Chaperone field trips, ensuring student safety at all times
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement and clear expectations
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents as needed
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and program policies
Eastminster Day School, a ministry of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, is seeking substitute teachers. This individual will be responsible for providing appropriate physical, emotional, spiritual, and developmental opportunities for each child, in collaboration with lead teacher. This individual will work with young children anywhere from age 6-weeks to 10-years-old. The hours are flexible, and starting pay is $13/hour.
