Thankful From Sunrise to Sunset

“David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, ‘Praise be to You, Lord, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.  Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.  Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; You are exalted as head over all.  Wealth and honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things.  In Your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.  Now, our God, we give You thanks, and praise Your glorious name.’” – 1 Chronicles 29: 10-13

 

During a trip last month, in one single day, I was given the blessing to wake up to a sunrise over the beach, travel past lush fields growing produce, and then watch the sunset over a beautiful mountain backdrop!

 

In David’s Prayer, he praised our Lord’s power and glory and gave thanks that everything is under his watchful care and concern.  

 

How thankful I am that each day holds God’s greatness in beauty and the living experience of being in his loving care.

 

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank you for your gifts of land and sea, for the grandeur of mountain ranges and the power of the ocean, for glorious sunrises and serene sunsets.  I praise your holy name from morning till night!  Amen.
