During Learning Terms, students will participate in one lesson a week of their chosen discipline(s). Students will have the option of a thirty (30) minute lesson, a forty-five (45) minute lesson, or an hour-long (60 minute) lesson.
Spring Term lessons begin Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and end on Monday, April 20, 2026. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be observed, with opportunities for make-up lessons to be completed. Students will receive one lesson instead of two between Holy Week (March 30, 2026 through Friday, April 3, 2026) and Richland County School District 1 Spring Break (Monday, April 6, 2026, through Friday, April 10, 2026).
The Spring Recitals will be on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. Students will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in a recital performance.

At Eastminster Academy of the Arts (EAA), our mission is to provide high‑quality arts instruction to students of all ages. We are a ministry of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, serving our community by nurturing creativity, inspiring spiritual growth, and encouraging service in worship through the arts.

All lessons take place on the campus of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

Our Faculty
Our faculty are carefully selected, holding music degrees and completing background checks through Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
- All instruction is held in rooms with windows in compliance with MTNA and NATS standards.
- Lessons are video‑recorded for safety and accountability.
- Faculty begin and end lessons on time and are responsible for rescheduling any teacher‑initiated cancellations.
- Weekly lesson records are submitted to maintain accurate records and payroll.
Policies & Procedures
- Scheduling: Lessons are coordinated by the EAA Director according to faculty and student availability. Specific time requests are considered but not guaranteed.
- Materials: Students are responsible for purchasing music or instruments. The EAA Director can assist with sourcing materials if needed.
- Make‑Ups:
- Cancel at least 24 hours in advance to qualify.
- Up to 2 make-up lessons per term.
- No make‑up for missed lessons without notice.
- Parental Presence: Students under 18 must have a parent/guardian present outside the lesson room.
Recitals: Students are invited to perform in a recital at the end of each term.
